Router Behind Router error - 2Wire2701hg-b

* open your browser (internet explorer, mozilla firefox, safari, google chrome, etc.)

* type 192.168.1.254/mdc in the address bar

* on the left-hand side, look for the link that says Configure [a sub-item of Local Network]

* scroll down to the very bottom and make sure that Display alert when another router is connected to this router is unchecked.

* click on submit or save.

* turn off the 2wire2701 and the router plugged into it for 10 seconds, for settings to be saved. 

* if you're still getting the same error message, contact the helpdesk at 1-888-321-2375.
